SHADOWS Excerpt: William and Jules
Four brisk knocks overwhelmed the senses of everyone in the house, and like howling dogs they all right at seven AM, bright and early in the morning to the front door. Breakfast was made large, with a Scottish selection, of Bacon, two fried eggs, a sausage patty, toast, tatties, baked beans, fried mushrooms and tomates, and a big pancake for each plate. It was the biggest breakfast they knew how to make and they did so rarely, loving each part of it, savoring it.
Mark beat everyone to the door and opened it brightly excited but before he could even shriek his welcomes and hellos he was toppled by a now teenage June who loved him ever still. A
